GENERAL INFORMATION
This is the principal airport of Mexico and Latin America with connections to the rest of the world. It is located approximately 15 kilometers from the place where the WUWM event will occur.
The official service (white and yellow cabs) offers the most comfort and safety from the airport to your hotel - this is the only service authorized by the AICM. We recommend requesting the ordinary service (maximum 4 passengers with normal baggage) ordering a ticket for zone #6. It is approximately the cost of 20 USD. Depending on the traffic, the distance to the hotel is approximately 40 minutes to 1 hour.
The official currency is the Mexican Peso but United States dollars are accepted without problem. Other currencies, such as the Euro, are admitted in certain places like airports, banks, or foreign exchange offices. International credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted all over the country. Cash dispensers (A.T.M.): Will normally accept all cards.
Mexico City presents moderate temperatures, with an annual average of 16° Celsius. Its moderate climate is a result of the combination of its altitude (2,250 meters above sea level) and its rural geography protects it from excessive winds and from dampness. The warmest summer’s months are from June to August, when the temperatures rise up to 31° C.
There will be a registration booth in the Hotel Marquis Reforma on 22 April 2008, from 12:00 to 18:00 Hours. Near the registration booths you will find an information desk where you can ask about schedules, sites, programs, and the partners program.

It is recommended that delegates dress in suit and tie during the meetings. For dinner and during the technical visits more informal clothing and comfortable shoes are suitable. Those attending the accompanying persons program may wear informal clothes and comfortable shoes. This time of the year we are in full spring and the climate is liable to be warm and nice. Sometimes there are chances of slight drizzles in the evening, so we advise you to bring a light jacket in case of rain.
During the Conference and technical visits we will rely on the service of simultaneous translation in English, French and Spanish. However, any translation to another language will be considered according to the number of delegates registered. If required by some delegations, we can also provide guides / interpreters who speak your language. The cost would be separate and charged directly to the interested party.
