With an area of 330,000 square metres (equivalent to approximately 47 soccer fields) and about 300 specialist suppliers and an annual movement of goods worth about more than one billion Euro, Berlin’s wholesale market is one of Germany’s biggest supply centres for independent food retailers, hotels, catering and bulk consumers.

Arrive, park and find all you need in one location – this is reality since 2010: Fruits and vegetables, meats and sausages, fish, beverages, convenience products, specialty and exotic foods are traded, supplemented by a wide range of flowers, plants and florist supplies. And, to top it off, the market offers a comprehensive range of services: Storage, refrigeration, washing and repair facilities.

The Marheineke Markethall, one of the last of large old retail market halls in Berlin, falls under the management of the Berlin wholesale market. 3,000 square metres of fresh foods, full of delicious meats, cheeses, milk, bread, fish, juice, fruits, vegetables and flowers. All top-quality, with some of the produce organically and regionally grown. Specialties include Italian, Greek, Spanish and Arabic foods. The offer available at the market hall is topped off by restaurants, snackbars, crafts and services, exhibitions of Berlin artists and a radio station, broadcasting their multicultural programmes directy from the market hall.
